Slavnost Fest Goes on Despite the Rain

The Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center (TCHCC) hosted its 19th annual Slavnost “May Fest” at the Round Up Hall in La Grange on Sunday, May 16. The event included a fried chicken meal and music by Mark Halata and Texavia. The event was supposed to take place on the grounds of TCHCC’s Czech Village at the fairgrounds. Organizers moved the event inside the Round Up Hall due to a forecast of rain on Sunday, although not much fell. The Slavnost was well-attended despite the threat of bad weather. Photo by Andy Behlen
