Skydiving Fundraiser May 22

Don’t forget to jump at the chance to see 20 fellow Fayette County residents skydive for a great cause at Fayette County Habitat for Humanity’s First Annual Skydiving Fundraiser.

The event takes place May 22 starting at 9:30 a.m. at the Fayette County Fairgrounds. The event was originally scheduled for April 17 but Mother Nature decided on a different date.

There is still time to donate to individual jumpers. Each jumper needs to collect a donation of $750 which will all go towards Fayette County Habitat for Humanity.

The jumpers will be shuttled two at a time from the fair grounds to the La Grange airport before their jump and will undergo a short training session before the plane takes off.

Below is the schedule for the fundraiser. Remember if you are coming to support an individual jump it’s recommended to show up at least 20 minutes early.

4:45 p.m. - Steve Cameron & Helen Achilles
