SG2C Invites Community to Christmas Eve Worship
M
Christmas is fast approaching and Stray Gathering Cowboy Church-SG2C invites everyone in the community to come and worship Christ’s birth with them on Christmas Eve at 6:30 p.m. They will have a special Christmas service and hope everyone will come out and celebrate with them. It is a beautiful way to honor the true reason for the season.
Thanksgiving ministry at Stray Gathering Cowboy Church reached out to a sweet family of eight in the Muldoon area with a gift basket for their Thanksgiving meal along with gift cards to make their Thanksgiving meal special. Included with the basket was a Bible and an invitation to church. What a special basket that was. SG2C has been a true blessing to the Muldoon community and that they serve in our community.
Out and About
Kathy and Frank Chlumsky traveled to Austin for Thanksgiving to enjoy a delicious meal with daughter Summer and her husband Ben. They also got to spend some quality time with the grandkids Olivia and Marcus. They came home with memories and some new recipes to try.
Martin and Nancy Cherry enjoyed Thanksgiving with their daughter Anne Marie Cherry from Georgia; their son Martin Jr., and his wife Lora and their children Caroline and Mitchell; Nancy’s sisters and their husbands, Lulu and Steve Musick from Wimberly; and sister Anne and husband Paul Comeaux from San Antonio. They all enjoyed a traditional meal and lots of conversation by the fire place making lots of family memories.
James and I, along with son Bobby Ivy slipped away to sister Judy Jordan’s home in LaVernia. We joined a bunch with the family for some great food and loads of visiting and catching up with everyone.
Jennifer and Clay Right-mer hosted Jennifer’s family. Daughter Lane Rightmer arrived from the Austin area to help with the organization and preparations. Julie Zavala and her kids Zack and Kaylin; Wade and Julie Howard and daughter Georgia; and Jeff Howard all came out and enjoyed the family gathering.
Devon Boehnke, Dana and Darrell Kulak enjoyed a family gathering over at Devon’s brother Harold Boehnke’s home. They had lots of cousins to catch up with and visit with. Joining in the celebration were Jenny and Aaron Zuhn and their daughters Charlotte and Delilah who came to pick eggs and enjoy the chickens.
Neighborhood Watch
Christmas time is upon us and that means lots of company and traveling. Be sure to let your neighbors know if you will be out of pocket and have them check on your place. If you see anything odd call or text them to be sure all is good with them. We all have to pull together to have a safe community.
There are some in the community who have been ill. Call and check on those elderly neighbors who might have a hard time getting out and about. This is a rough time of year for those who might not have someone close by. A little kindness goes a long way.
Weather
Weather in Muldoon is currently rather winter-like with a damp misty rain and cooler temperatures. The rain is most welcomed, but the cold wind makes it on the miserable side if you need to go out and about in it. Be sure to bundle up as you make your rounds of holiday parties.
Traffic
As the cold weather sets in that means the ranchers in the area will be out feeding their stock. Watch out for slow moving tractors and feed trucks. Give them lots of grace and a whole lot of patience as they go out and feed those hungry animals. Tractors can not always see behind them well and rushing around them can be very dangerous. Don’t be in such a hurry. We live in a rural community, so slow down and enjoy the countryside as you drive.
