Schulenburg Police Report

Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Dec. 5-11.

Animal Complaint

On Dec. 6, Officer Hailee Vincent assisted complainant in the 800 block of Simpson with securing a dog in back yard.

On Dec. 6, Vincent spoke with individual in the 300 block of Klesel in reference to a dog chained up outside. Owner advised she only lets the dog outside on a chain to go to the bathroom and is an inside dog.

On Dec. 9, Sgt. Tobey McFadden was dispatched to the 400 block of Simpson for a German Shepherd sitting on a porch. Officer recognized the dog as belonging to a woman that was looking for it. The dog was returned to the owner.

Fire

On Dec. 5, McFadden was dispatched to the 600 block of East. I-10 for a car fire. The fire was out prior to officers’ arrival.

Traffic Stop

On Dec. 6, Officer Juan Castilleja conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Kessler for a vehicle speeding. A warning was issued.

On Dec. 7, Vincent stopped a vehicle in the 200 block of Kessler for speeding in a school zone. A citation was issued.

On Dec. 8, Castilleja stopped a vehicle in the 1500 block of Kessler for an obscured license plate. Driver was issued a warning.

On Dec. 10, Vincent initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding in a school zone going 41 in a 25. A citation was issued for speeding in a school zone and expired drivers license.

On Dec. 11, Officer Frank Parkinson stopped a vehicle in the 300 block of Kessler for going 45 mph in a 30 mph zone.

Dec. 11, Castilleja stopped a vehicle in the 500 block of Summit for speeding. The driver was identified and advised he did not have a valid drivers license and also had a misdemeanor warrant out of Fayette County.
