Schulenburg PD Responds to Assaults, Animal Complaints, and Traffic Violations

Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Nov. 16-22 .

Assault

On Nov. 18, Officer MD Krenek was asked to assist with a student who threw a chair and table at another student. Officer stood by as staff carried the student out.

On Nov. 18, Krenek responded to the 300 block of Bucek regarding a student being struck in the face on the evening route on the purple bus. Information was relayed to the school.

Animal Complaint

On Nov. 16, Officer James Whited was dispatched to the 300 block of S. Main for a white dog that was in the area allegedly killing cats. Owner was located and dog put up.

On Nov. 22, Officer Juan Castilleja was dispatched to the 800 block of Anderson for a wild pig in the yard. Upon arrival officer did not observe any animals. Officer located pig in the alley. Officer contacted the owner who is in the 600 block of West. The dispatch was informed the bacon had been returned to the owner.

On Nov. 22, Officer Reyden Svatek responded to the 100 block of Meadow Creek for a skunk in the backyard. Upon arrival the skunk had left the property. Officer advised not to trap, shoot or feed the skunk.

Civil Matter

On Nov. 18, Castilleja responded to the 700 block of N. US Hwy. 77 for a civil matter.

On Nov. 19, Sgt. Tobey McFadden responded to the 500 block of Paulus for a civil matter.

On Nov .20, Whited responded to the 500 block of Baumgarten for a civil matter.

On Nov. 20, Whited responded to the 600 block of South Street for a civil matter.

Disturbance

On Nov. 19, Whited was dispatched to the 1000 block of Kessler for a verbal disturbance. Harassment

On Nov. 19, Whited responded to the 1300 block of Summit in reference to harassment. Public Intoxication

On Nov. 21, Castilleja was dispatched to the 1300 block of Lyons Avenue in reference to a person intoxicated inside of the store that had fallen. The male subject was showing signs of drug overdose medics were called and life flight.

Accident

On Nov. 21, Svatek responded to the 40 block of Kessler for a fender bender in the Whataburger parking lot.

On Nov. 21, Castilleja was dispatched to the 40 block of Kessler for a minor accident.

Traffic Stop

On Nov. 18, Svatek issued a citation to a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for an expired registration tag (05-24) On Nov. 18, Castilleja stopped a driver in the 100 Block of Kessler for speeding in a school zone. Driver issued a citation.

On Nov. 18, Castilleja stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for speeding in a school zone a citation was issued.

On Nov. 18, Castilleja stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for speeding in a school zone and a citation was issued.

On Nov. 21, Castilleja stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for speeding. A warning was issued.

Reckless Driver

On Nov. 20, Whited was advised of a gray Toyota traveling south on Kessler passing in a no passing zone. Officer unable to locate the vehicle.
