Schulenburg Falls to 0-5 With Homecoming Loss to Johnson City
Schulenburg is still looking for its first win of the season after falling to Johnson City 49-10 on homecoming Friday.
The only scoring for Schulenburg came via a first quarter 26-yard field goal by Preston Kahn and a third quarter six-yard touchdown pass from back-up quarterback Denver Carr to Brett Hollas.
Carr took over quarterbacking duties after Owen Brenek was hurt.
The Shorthorns (0-5). managed just 173 yards of total offense compared to 563 for Johnson City (3-2).
Schulenburg is off this week before opening district play at home Oct. 9 versus Thrall.
