Medicare Workshops Scheduled for October

Medicare Open Enrollment can be confusing. To answer questions on what to do whether you are signing up for the first time or re-signing up for the new Medicare year attend one of the two “Medicare 101” workshops being offered by the Area Agency on Aging of the Capital Area and hosted by Fayette County Committee on Aging, Schulenburg Library, and the Fayette County AgriLife Extension office.

Debra Vizcarra, Benefits Counselor with Area Agency on Aging of the Capital Area, will provide information on Original Medicare Part A & B, Medicare Advantage or Medigap Plans, Part D Prescriptions, Medicare Savings Program, Preventive Services and more plus answer questions if you are working past 65.

Schulenburg Public Library at 310 Simpson will host the workshop on Friday, Oct. 9 from 10:15 a.m. - Noon.

La Grange’s program will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 14 from 10 a.m. - Noon at the Fayette County Agricultural Building, 255 Svoboda Lane, Room 104’ There is no cost for this program, but you do need to pre-register so that enough materials are available.
