Schielack Running for LGISD School Board
Hello. My name is Brandon Schielack. I am a Christ follower, husband to Britney and father to four children, Skarlet, Bohen, Winnie, and Jonah. I look forward to the opportunity to serve on La Grange ISD School Board, Place 2.
After graduating from La Grange High School in 2000, I attended ACC and Blinn before transferring to Texas A&M University to pursue a degree in Agricultural Economics. During college, I obtained a Texas Real Estate Broker’s License and started a business helping parents and investors participate in student housing real estate ventures. Here, I found my passion to help youth craft their unique talents and apply to life and careers. I had the opportunity to work with hundreds of these youth within our small businesses.
In 2016, our family moved back to La Grange to raise our family, start a business, and be a resource to local youth.
My wife and I currently own REDI Local Market and Real Estate in La Grange. We help creators, farmers, and youth sell their products and services and help Fayette County residents with real estate and business ventures.
I currently serve in Noon’s Lions Club, FC Fair Association and Frisch Auf Valley Country Club where we help local youth further their interest in golf, tennis and swimming. Our family are members of The Remnant Church.
I serve on the Advisory Board for Target Evolution, a youth entrepreneurship curriculum and program creating jobs and opportunities for teens and young adults. I mentor with Schulenburg ISD via the THRIVE mentoring program which connects local leaders with youth through weekly meet-ups. My wife and I started a youth entrepreneurship program that introduces youth to business practices, life skills, and business leaders in the community.
I believe public schools have taken on more than what they were designed to do, resulting in unheard teachers and staff, and children not fully educated on all of life’s opportunities. I believe parents, teachers, and local industry leaders have an understanding of what our children need to be best prepared for life and deserve to be listened to. I believe education should be happening outside of the classroom, as well as in the classroom.
Please consider voting for me on May 7. If interested in supporting this campaign, please contact, campaign treasurer, Mary Lou Anderle, at mlanderle@hotmail.com or call (979) 966-2145.
