Water, Water Everywhere

During the month of May, some 15.69 inches of rain has fallen in La Grange (more in other parts of the county). That’s nearly a third of our average rainfall for a while year!

12.5 inches of that has fallen in just the last week and a half.

All that rain has had a damaging effect on the county’s infrastructure.

Earlier this week 17 different country roads were closed because of high water.

At least four county roads had to be repaired even after the high water went down due to structural damage to the roads because of flooding.
