Saltwater Truck Rolls Over on FM 2145

An 18-wheeler hauling a load of saltwater from an oilfield site rolled over on FM 2145 near Bear Creek Rd. Monday morning, Dec. 29. The rig was heading south on FM 2145 when it went off the road to the left. Texas Department of Public Safety investigated the crash but a report was not available in time for this publication. Strong gusts of wind were blowing from the north that morning. The driver was pinned inside the cab. La Grange Volunteer Firefighters extricated the driver. Fayette County EMS transported him to South Austin Medical Center, where he was expected to fully recover. Photo by Andy Behlen
