Prause Meat Market, at 253 West Travis St. in La Grange, was run by several generations of the Prause family before it closed in 2020.
For sale signs went back up in the windows of the downtown Prause Meat Market a few days ago. The iconic market has been closed since mid-2020, but was purchased by the Hinojosa family who had overseen some renovation work, targeting a mid-2021 reopening. That never happened and now the still-under-construction market has been put back up for sale. The price tag? $475,000.
