Saint Cecilia’s to Feature Giulia Millanta Sunday

As part of its ongoing Fifth Anniversary Celebrations, Saint Cecilia’s Round Top, a creative faith community, will feature the talents of Italian singer-songwriter Giulia Millanta, at both services on Sunday, Sept. 27. Giulia will join the music team at Saint Cecilia’s for the 8:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. services. At 12:15 she will present a special concert as part of the Saint Cecilia’s Series and will be joined by cellist Carol Anne Bosco. All events are free and open to the public.

Giulia Millanta is an Italian- American Indie-Folk and Americana singer-songwriter who now makes her home in Austin, Texas.

A vocalist and guitarist, she also plays upright bass and ukulele and sings in four languages (English, Italian, Spanish and French). She has been described by Michael Greenblatt of The Aquarian Weekly as “deeply evocative with a dash of Piaf, a sprinkle of Lady Day, a pinch of Norah Jones and a teaspoon of Madeleine Peyroux.” Giulia has been called smart, eclectic, adventurous and cool, and credited with psychedelic grooveability whilst ‘baring her clairvoyant soul’ to ‘deliver musical mojo’”.

She has released eight solo albums to date and regularly tours throughout the US and Europe. She is also an acclaimed writer and accomplished chef.

Carol Anne Bosco’s original songs integrate jazz, classical, and folk elements, and are arranged for a chameleon band that can be as small as a solo cello and vox set, as big as a ten-piece band with rhythm section and string quartet arrangements. She writes with an emphasis on interesting melody lines, energetic grooves, and ranging solos.

Carol Anne was a finalist in the 2023 Bernard Ebb Songwriting Competition and was selected as a featured artist in the 2025 Texas Women’s Songwriter Festival.

Carol Anne has an MM in cello performance from the University of Maryland and a BA in music performance from Florida State University.

Saint Cecilia’s is located in the heart of Henkel Square in Round Top.
