Round Top Church Welcomes Members

Saint Cecilia’s Episcopal Church in Round Top, one of the fastest-growing churches in the entire denomination, just celebrated twenty new members officially joining the church—the largest new member class in their history.

Bishop Kai Ryan joined the church plant in Henkel Square to confirm, receive and reaffirm the new members on Sunday, Sept. 13. Many of the new members are residents of Fayette County but some drive great distances to worship and serve at this unique creative community that celebrates the arts and has an extensive outreach to the community.

The new members are: Kathi Coles, Diane Walla, Greg Walla, Twyla Kingsley, Woody Taylor, Amanda Gifford, Heather Hodges, Coty Werner, Jan Petty, Scott Petty, Karolyn Mau, Sally Duncan, Suzanne Ellis, Ed Ellis, Link Livingston, Susan Ashcroft, Sandra Stevens, John Smelley, Christine Smelley, and Hannah Wier.

Saint Cecilia’s Round Top recently purchased 6.5 acres on Hwy. 237 just outside town to begin building a new worship, fellowship, education, and concert space that has already broken ground. The church is known for its excellent and innovative music ministry with a music team that includes a “who’s who” of musicians from Texas and Louisiana.
