RTC Boys, Flatonia Girls Win Hoops Openers

• The Round Top-Carmine boys basketball team won their season opener over Snook Tuesday 47-24.

Facundo Cerda scored 17 for RYC, Tre’Veon Fisher scored 14, Cash Robertson eight and William Neese and Kash Wessels four each.

•The Flatonia girls basketball team won its season opener Tuesday with a 58-29 win over Yoakum.

Summer Sodek scored 36 and had 17 rebounds. Dani Vinklarek and Abbie Uzzell scored eight each and Jalee Trussell scored six. The varsity Lady Dogs are back in action Friday at Katy Tompkins JV.
