Round Top Herman Sons Life Lodge Meets
The Round Top Hermann Sons Life Lodge 151 met for the regular monthly meeting Monday, Aug. 26 at 6:30 p.m. at the American Legion Hall near Round Top. Lila Garlin, President, opened the meeting. The correspondence was a thank you note from Kailey Zoch representing IMPACT at Texas A&M.
Agent, Linda Mattocks, presented details about Customer Appreciation Day at Comfort on Sept. 18 beginning at 11 a.m. with a meal and visitation. The boys’ camp, the retirement home, and the beautifully landscaped grounds should make for an interesting afternoon.
The “Make a Difference Day” will be donations to CASA as done in the years past; anything usable for ages 0 to 18 and gift cards are always great.
Gladys Roemer had surgery for a broken femur. A get-well card with notes was signed by those attending. Prayers were offered to others that are sick at present.
Happy anniversary to Jocie and Floyd Braun, 23 years, and Lila and Barton Garlin, 55 years. Attendance prizes were won by Floyd Braun, Max Baranowski, Margie Stardig, Linda Mattocks, and Jeanette Schoenst.
Bob and Betty Porter prepared a chicken and beef taco bar with all the extras.
The next meeting will be Sept. 23 with no meeting in October because of the Antique Fair. The meeting was adjourned by a motion from Ted, and seconded by Margie Stardig. Minutes courtesy of Secretary, Jeanette Schoenst.

Round Top Carmine students will be out for Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 6.
School t-shirt order forms are available on the website, rtcisd.net. Masks will not be required this school year, but each student is asked to bring his or her own water bottle.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church holds services with Pastor John David Nedbalek Sundays at 9:30 a.m. Adult Bible study classes are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Educational Building. Rug Hookers meet Saturday, Aug. 28 at 10 a.m.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Shelby holds Sunday service at 8 a.m. Sunday mornings with fellowship following.
City of Refuge Church

Monday Night Social
The Round Top Rifle Hall’s Monday Night Social takes place on the first through fourth Mondays of the month from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Round Top Rifle Hall.
