Road Construction on FM 609
The ongoing construction on FM 609 between FM 2237 and La Grange has caused traffic to start to be diverted to FM 154. Please be aware of the uptick in the amount of traffic that is traveling through Muldoon at this time. The lazy traffic pattern has become much busier and more attention is needed to travel this way. If you do go to La Grange by way of FM 609 be sure to add in extra time for the construction delays. Once finished it will be nice, but till then travel safe.
Delayed Celebration
James and I took off last week for a delayed celebration of our wedding anniversary, since I had broke my toe just prior to our anniversary. We took the scenic route to Fort Worth and did not have to drive on Interstate 35 until we reached the city of Burleson. It was a beautiful drive through Moody, McGregor, Crawford, Valley Mills, Cleburne and Joshua. We enjoyed lots of great country scenery and different countryside from what is around the Muldoon area.
From there we traveled on to the historic Fort Worth Stockyards. We spent a couple of days walking around and learning the fascinating history of the Stockyards. We also enjoyed lots of great eating, mainly steaks and got to watch the daily cattle drive.
Out and about
Dana and Darrell Kulak and Devon Boehnke enjoyed a weekend full of family when April Pospisil; Jenny and Aaron Zuhn; and Annie and son Luke Zimmerhanzel all came in for some family time in the country. Luke enjoyed his time the most wearing out his mom, uncles and aunts in the process.
Attends Conference
Pam Sheffield and Anne Wright recently visited Fort Worth to attend a Bible Prophecy Conference at Birchman Baptist Church. The one day conference included four speakers, Amir Tsarfati, a Jewish Christian, who lives in Jerusalem. Pam and Anne enjoyed meeting a very nice man who is a long time member at the church, who shared his testimony with them and gave them a tour of the church the afternoon prior to the conference. The ladies enjoyed their time eating at local restaurants along their trip and very blessed to meet lots of nice people along the way.
Weather
Muldoon has been on the dry side around the area. On Wednesday morning fall did arrive with much cooler mornings and less humidity that made it feel really crisp. It is not to last long, but is a welcome change from the hot and humid days that have been hanging around lately.
