Donation Of Items Needed
The Rotary Club of La Grange is sponsoring a drive to collect donations of items to help the Children’s Advocacy Center serving Bastrop, Lee and Fayette Counties. The center is in need of new stuffed animals to give to the children who are coming to see them. These children are coming to be interviewed to see if they have experienced some form of abuse. A cuddly friend sometimes helps to make that journey easier, and hopefully less traumatic. They are also seeking non-perishable food items for their on-site pantry, to provide to families and caregivers in need. Needed items included: Granola bars, apple sauce pouches, crackers with cheese, fruit snacks, whole grain chips, and Teddy Grahams. Donations can be dropped off at the Historic Casino Hall Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The last day to participate in the collection is Friday, Feb. 26.
