Feed The Need

Feed the Need Missions, a non-profit organization based in Bastrop whose mission is to feed people physically and spiritually, will provide free burgers every Monday at 6:30 p.m. at 901 Mode Lane beginning Monday, Jan. 25. This location is near White Rock Park in La Grange. Everyone is welcome.

CDA Meeting

CDA Court Annunciation No. 1962 of La Grange and Plum will be meeting on Monday, Jan. 25 at the Narthex Meeting Room at Sacred Heart Church in La Grange at 7 p.m. The raffle drawing will take place and election of delegates for the State Convention will be held. Members are encouraged to attend and potential new members are always welcome.

Bible Study

Join St. James Missionary Baptist Church located at 1110 St. James Church Rd in Plum for Bible study on Wednesday, Jan. 27. Everyone is welcome. For more information, contact Joy at (281) 787-9481.

Animal Shelter Benefit Dinner

A benefit dinner for the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter will be held Thursday, Jan. 28, drive-thru only from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the La Grange KC Community Center located at 190 S. Brown Street. The meal will consist of chicken fried chicken breast, noodles, mixed veggies, gravy and a roll for $10. Tickets can be purchased at the Animal Shelter at 240 Svoboda Lane, LG Spirits, and Hartland Real Estate Office in La Grange.

Chicken Noodle Soup Lunch, Bake Sale

The Ellinger Chamber of Commerce is having a drive thru only homemade chicken noodle soup lunch and bake sale on Sunday, Jan. 31 beginning at 10:30 a.m. Cost is $8 a quart and $30 a gallon. Bring a pot or glass container. Homemade chicken salad sandwiches and desserts will also be available. Reserve large orders by calling or texting (979) 966-8612.

Small School, Big Hearts Fundraiser

The Round Top-Carmine Education Foundation will hold its only annual fundraiser “Small School, Big Hearts” dinner at the Round Top Rifle Hall on Feb. 6. The event provides funding for Arts Enrichment, Technology and Innovative Teacher Grants that would not be possible through the District’s budget. Tickets are available online at www.rtceducationfoundation.org or at Round Top State Bank (Round Top), Carmine State Bank, Round Top Merchantile or at RT-C school offices.
