Heroes Museum
The Texas Heroes Museum will be closed Dec. 22 through Jan. 8 for the holidays. Please remember our soldiers who cannot spend Christmas with their families.
First Presbyterian Church of La Grange invites community members to their Christmas Cantata this coming Sunday, Dec. 21, during regular church service that starts at 10:30 a.m. Chancel choir supported by Miles Gillette, organist/ pianist, Jose Estrada on trumpet and Oliver Gunn as narrator, is pleased to present “The Splendor of Heaven” Cantata. What a wonderful way to start the Christmas season. First Presbyterian Church will also be hosting a Christmas Eve Candlelight Service starting at 5 p.m. Dec. 24. A short service which will include many of your favorite Christmas hymns enhanced by Miles Gillette on the organ/ piano, Ruth Connelly on cello and solos from choir members, Jeanna Balreira, Pam Hurst, JoAnn Goodrich and Joanne Gillette.
Candelight Service
Crosspoint Community Church Christmas Eve Candlelight Services will be held at 3 p.m., 4:30 p.m., and 6 p.m. on Wed., Dec. 24. The church is located at 1010 N. Von Minden St. in La Grange. Join as we celebrate Jesus’ birth.
There’s more The annual St. James candlelight Christmas Eve service will be Dec. 24. Music and choir start at 3:45 p.m. with the service to follow at 4 p.m. St. James Church is at 156 N. Monroe across from the La Grange H-E-B. All are welcome.
Christmas Garbage Schedule
La Grange City offices will be closed Thursday and Friday, Dec. 25 and Dec. 26 in observance of the Christmas Holiday. The week of Dec. 22-26 is garbage and recycling week. Waste Management will also have a holiday on Thursday. If you normally get your garbage and recycle picked up on Thursday, it will be picked up on Friday. If you normally get your garbage and recycle picked up on Friday, it will be picked up on Saturday. Ballet Class in Round Top
Beginner-friendly ballet class focusing on practicing and perfecting foundational skills will be held for grades K-1st beginning January through April 2026 on Tuesdays from 4-5:15 p.m. Students will perform a short performance on the final day. Al-Anon Meetings in Bastrop
Al-Anon meetings are held every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at United Methodist Church located at 1201 Main St. in Bastrop.
