The annual La Grange High School book is coming up Monday-Wednesday Dec. 8-10 from 8:30 a.m. 6:15 p.m. at the La Grange High School Library and also Thursday, Dec. 11 from 8:30 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.
The annual Hospice Brazos Valley Christmas live wreath sale will be Friday, Dec. 5 in front of the La Grange Hospice Brazos Valley office located at 1048 N. Jefferson across from the Bugle Boy. The sale will be from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. and wreaths cost $45 each. Proceeds benefit Hospice Brazos Valley, a non-profit organization that services community members facing their last journey of life.
Adult Tech Training
Join the Fayette Public Library for Adult Technology Training in La Grange on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 10 a.m. noon. All computer questions are welcome. No one is born knowing this stuff. The St. James Holy Smokers will not hold a cook in December but plan to be back in January.
There’s more The Lions Sealy Dance Club is having a dance on Saturday, Dec. 6 at the Sealy American Legion Hall located at 1630 Meyer St. in Sealy. The band, Heartland Texas, will be providing live music from 7:30-11 p.m. The public is always welcome.
Fayette County Beekeepers Association
The Fayette County Beekeepers Association (FaycoBeeks) will not hold a regular meeting in December. Instead, members and guests are invited to join for the annual Christmas Party on Saturday, Dec. 6, at Rohan Meadery, located at 6002 FM 2981 in La Grange. Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. The evening will include a White Elephant Gift Exchange with a $25 limit this year’s theme is Honey Bees, so get creative. The club will provide food for all members, and drinks will be available for purchase by guests through the meadery. FaycoBeeks meets on the first Saturday of each month (except July and December).The club looks forward to celebrating the holidays together and welcoming beekeepers from across the region. Czech Christmas Open House at TCHCC
Christmas spirit and local flavor will be flowing at the Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center, 250 W. Fairgrounds Rd. in La Grange, during the center’s Christmas Open House on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. The community is invited to enjoy holiday shopping, wine, and fellowship while exploring the festive grounds and exhibits. From 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., guests can sample wine tastings from local wineries, showcasing regional favorites that pair perfectly with a Christmas outing. The La Grange Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting at 11 a.m.
Family Christmas Movie Night
Bring your family for a free fun and festive evening at Bridge Church on Sunday, Dec. 7. We’ll have food and fun starting at 5:30 p.m. At 7:05 p.m. we’ll watch “The Chosen: O Holy Night” Christmas movie on the big screen with free popcorn. Brenham Chorale Christmas Concert The Brenham Chorale announces its Christmas “Messiah” concert, being performed on Monday, Dec. 8, at 7 p.m, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Brenham. The concert is open to the public and free of charge. The Brenham Chorale is a 30-member community choir, now in its 15th year, under the direction of Dr. Joanne Clark. Come and enjoy works by Norman Luboff and Dan Forest, as well as movements from Handel’s most famous work, “Messiah.” The concert will include a string orchestra, organ, horns, and soloists, and it will be followed by a reception afterwards. American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 102 The American Legion Post and Auxiliary Unit No. 102 will host their annual Christmas Party on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at the VFW Home located at Veterans Memorial Drive at the Fair Grounds in La Grange. Come join for an evening of fellowship and dinner. The social hour will begin at 5 p.m. followed by a catered meal served at 6 p.m. The Post and Unit members and their spouse/guest are invited to attend this festive event honoring and thanking our Veterans for their Service to our Country.

Join NewLife Methodist Church for fellowship on Thursdy, Dec. 11 at the Fellowship Hall, 1215 N. Von Minden in La Grange, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. for chili, frito pie, cornbread, and you bring a dessert. Hermann Sons Christmas Party
Hermann Sons Rutersville will hold their Christmas Party on Saturday, Dec. 13 at the lodge hall beginning at 6 p.m. In this season of giving, the lodge is supporting the AMEN Food Drive to help those most in need in the community. Consider donating any shelf-stable foods or making a cash contribution at the party.
Faison House Christmas Open House The Faison House invites you to its Christmas Open House on Saturday, Dec. 13 from 12-3 p.m. Refreshments will be served, and Santa will arrive at 2 p.m. with gifts for the children. The Faison House is located at 822 S. Jefferson St. in La Grange.
RT Shelby Lodge of Hermann Sons Life The Round Top-Shelby Lodge of Hermann Sons Life will be collecting items for the children of CASA. Any items needed and used by children between the ages of birth and 18 years are requested. Some items needed are diapers, clothing - warm outer wear, pajamas, socks and underwear, toiletries and accessories, totes, backpacks, duffel bags and small pieces of luggage. Members and friends are invited to bring items to the Lodge Christmas party on Dec. 14, or drop them off at Round Top Real Estate office who is again a partner in this event. The Flatonia-Cistern Farm Bureau Christmas dinner and 2025 quarterly meeting will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 16 at the American Legion Hall in Flatonia. Social hour will start at 6 p.m. and Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Alexander Ross Hernandez, Attorney from Flatonia. A business meeting will follow the meal.
Community Prayer Gathering
Everyone is invited to the monthly Community Prayer Gathering. This is an area wide multi-church sponsored event. We meet the first Sunday of each month at Redimidos por Cristo church which is located across the street from Tejas Healthcare. The address is 131 S.
