Aggie Watch Party
Aggie football is better together, join the Fayette County A&M Club for three game watch parties across the community this season. The first one is coming up this week on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 6:30 p.m. Texas A&M at LSU Watch Party at Post Oak Bar and Grill located at 1114 FM 155, La Grange.
Casino Night

KC BBQ Sunday
The La Grange Knights of Columbus Chromcik Council No. 2574 will host their KC BBQ Sunday, Sept. 27. BBQ chicken and sausage to-go (drive-thru) will be available from 10:30 a.m to 12 noon at the KC Community Center located at 190 Brown St. in La Grange. A slab of pork ribs is $20, chicken is $12 and sausage is $7. Orders are guaranteed on call-ins by calling (979) 968-5117.
Kulhanek Family Reunion
The Kulhanek Family Reunion will be held on Sunday, Sept. 27. The day will begin at 10 a.m. Memorial Mass at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville. Following Mass, family and friends will gather at Heh, Remember When, 3031 FM1291, Suite 200, Fayetteville for lunch and fellowship. A potluck luncheon will begin at 12:30 p.m. Bring your favorite dish to share. Bread, tea, and fruit punch will be provided, and a cash bar will be available. Traditional reunion activities will include the guessing game, door prizes, silent auction, and raffle. CDA No.1962 Meeting
The CDA Court Annunciation No. 1962 of La Grange and Plum will hold their meeting on Monday, Sept. 28 in the Msgr. Harry Mazurkiewicz Center in La Grange. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. Members are invited to attend and new members are always welcome. Members, we will begin using Flocknote as a means of communication. Winedale Zoom Talk
A Winedale Zoom Talk titled Texas Rangers: Legendary Lawmen will be held Tuesday, Sept. 29, at noon. Audrey Ladd, Operations Manager of the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum, will discuss the nearly 200-year history of the nation’s most legendary state law enforcement agency. Schulenburg Class of 1960
The Schulenburg Shorthorn Class of 1960, which holds their annual reunion on the first Thursday of October, will hold this year’s reunion on Thursday, Oct. 1. The gathering will be at the Oakridge Smokehouse Restaurant in Schulenburg, with a start time of 11:30 a.m. This is the start of the 67th year since graduation from SHS. Classmates, their spouses and all surviving spouses are encouraged to attend. You do not need to contact anyone prior to Thursday, Oct. 1, just show up at 11:30 a.m.
KC Turkey & Dressing Supper
The La Grange Knights of Columbus Chromcik Council No. 2574 annual Turkey and Dressing Supper will be held Thursday, Oct. 1 at the KC Community Center located at 190 Brown St. in La Grange. The turkey and homemade dressing supper will also include noodles, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce and a roll. Plates are $15 each. The drive-thru only meal will be available from 4-6 p.m. or until sold out. Enter the drive thru on Water St. to Milam and exit on Brown St. Call (979) 968-5117 in advance for orders over 10 plates.
American Legion Quade Werchan The next meetings of the American Legion Quade-Werchan Post #338 and Ladies Auxiliary will be held on Thursday, Oct. 1, in conjunction with Carmine Chamber of Commerce Night Out. The post will be responsible for conducting the Flag Retirement Ceremony at the start of the event. Attendance will be taken by the Post Adjutant. The following month, the meetings for the post and auxiliary will take place on Thursday, Nov. 5 at their facilities located at 1503 N. State Hwy. 237 in Round Top, beginning at 6:30 p.m. All veterans in the Round Top-Carmine, Winedale, Warrenton, Ledbetter, Waldeck, and Rutersville area are encouraged to join Post #338 and share in fellowship with others who have served our nation.
Carmine Night Out
Carmine Night Out will be held Thursday Oct. 1, at 6 p.m. at the Carmine Volunteer Fire Department. The American Legion Post 338 will perform a flag retirement ceremony followed by brief speeches from local officials. Flags are collected year round at the Carmine Museum and Visitor Center, the Village Market, and the Carmine Post Office. Hot dogs, refreshments, and door prizes are provided by Carmine Lions, Carmine VFD, and Carmine Chamber. The event is free and open to the public.
Liberty Tree Pick-up Gates open at 7 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, for pickup of America 250 Liberty Trees. Those who applied for a Liberty Tree should go to the County Recycle Center, 210 Svoboda Lane in La Grange and volunteers will help load your tree and supplies. Vans or pickups will work best. Follow the signs. Gate will close at 4 p.m.
The Sealy Dance will be held on Saturday, Oct. 3 at the Sealy American Legion Hall located at 1630 Meyer St., Sealy. The Scott Wilkinson & Ez Country Band will be providing live music from 7:30-10:30 p.m. The public is always welcome.
Blessing of the Pets
Blessing of the pets will be held Sunday, Oct. 4 at St. Paul Lutheran Church located at 110 W. Walnut Street in La Grange beginning at 11:30 a.m.
Concert at First Presbyterian Church

Charity Golf Tournament
A Fore Lorenzo Estrada charity golf tournament and drivethru lunch will be held Saturday, Oct. 10 at Frisch Auf! Country Club. Sign up at the pro shop. Proper Flag Disposal Drop Off Locations The Texas Heroes Museum located at 171 S. Main in La Grange accepts old flags for proper disposal. The drop-off bin is inside the museum which is open 1-4 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, and 1-4 p.m. Sunday. If leaving flags outside the door when the museum is closed, please have them in a plastic bag or a box so that they are not laying on the ground.
Grief Group Being Offered
Hospice Brazos Valley is offering a new grief group for anyone who is grieving. This can be for any human grief, i.e. parent, grandparent, sibling, best friend, and the ones that HBV already offers, spouse, child. This support group will meet on the third Wednesday of each month at 10:30 a.m. - 12 noon at the Hospice Brazos Valley office, 1048 N. Jefferson, La Grange.
