Muldoon Museum

Win a prize at the Muldoon Museum. The museum will be open Saturday, Nov. 1 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Visit and ask for the trivia question, find the answer and all correct answers will be submitted for a prize drawing. The Muldon Museum is located 248 FM 154 in Muldoon.

Feed The Need

Feed the Need, a non-profit organization whose mission is to feed people physically and spiritually, will provide free burgers every Monday at 6:30 p.m. in La Grange at the south east corner of the courthouse square. Everyone is welcome.

Adult Tech Training

Join for Adult Technology Training at the Fayette Public Library in La Grange on Saturday, Nov. 1, from 10 a.m. noon. All computer questions are welcome. No one is born knowing this stuff. Fayette County Beekeepers Association

The Fayette County Beekeepers Association (FaycoBeeks) will hold its next meeting on Saturday, Nov. 1 at the Fayette County Agriculture Building in La Grange (255 Svoboda Ln). The evening begins with Beekeeping 101 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. a session perfect for beginners or anyone curious about getting started with honey bees. At 5:30 p.m. members and guests will enjoy a potluck dinner please bring a favorite entrée, side, or dessert to share. Following dinner, we’ll hold our regular business meeting and a discussion on preparing your beehives for the winter dearth, with time for attendee questions. Annual membership is just $25 per individual or family, but guests are always welcome. FaycoBeeks meets on the first Saturday of each month (except in July). Lions Sealy Dance Club

The Lions Sealy Dance Club is having a dance on Saturday, Nov. 1 at the Sealy American Legion Hall located at 1630 Meyer St. in Sealy. The band, Liberty Hill, will be providing live music from 7:30-11 p.m. The public is always welcome.

Calling All Train Enthusiasts Join the Flatonia Rail Museum on Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Tommy Shults Pavilion for its biannual Railfan Party. Enjoy a day of train watching, rail conversation, raffle prizes, and free coffee and donuts starting at 8 a.m. The covered pavilion is handicap accessible and located ½ mile west of downtown at the Union Pacific junction. Bring a chair, your camera, and enjoy the trains.

Hay Insurance Group Meeting

The Fayette County Precinct No. 2 Hay Insurance Group annual meeting will be held Monday, Nov. 3 at 6:30 p.m. at the Round Top Rifle Association Hall. Burgers will be provided.

Tuition Assistance Fundraiser

Queen of the Holy Rosary & Sts. Peter & Paul Parishes Fundraiser is scheduled Tuesday, Nov 4 5-7 p.m. at KC Hall 190 South Brown St. in La Grange. Future of Groundwater Presentation The Fayette Prairie Chapter of the Native Prairies Association of Texas is hosting a zoom presentation on The Future of Local Groundwater, Nov. 6, 6-7:30 p.m. by Elvis Hernandez of the Lost Pines Groundwater Conservation District. The future of groundwater in Texas is at a critical juncture, facing challenges driven by rapid population growth and persistent drought. To secure a sustainable future for water resources, it is important to understand these challenges, use good water management, and develop innovative solutions. Fayette County Community Theatre invites you to the upcoming performance of Calendar Girls by Juliette Towhidi and Tim Firth. Both a comedy and a drama, Calendar Girls is the true story of a group of British women who created a nude calendar to raise money for a leukemia research charity after one of their husbands died from the disease. Showtimes are Friday and Saturday, Nov. 7 and 8 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 9 at 3 p.m. at the Sanford Schmidt Amphitheater on the grounds of the Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center in La Grange. Shelby American Legion Post 602 invites all Veterans and the public to their annual Veterans Breakfast on Saturday, Nov. 8 from 7:30-9 a.m. The meal will include bacons, eggs, biscuit and gravy for a free will donation. The meal will be held at the Post Headquarters at 4019 FM 1457 in Shelby.

The Bastrop/Fayette County Ag Conference will be held Friday, Nov. 14 at the Fayette County Fairgrounds, 400 Fairgrounds Rd., La Grange. A total of 5 pesticide applicator CEU credits are available (3 General, 1 Laws & Regulations & 1 IPM. A preregistration fee of $40 must be received at the Extension office in Fayette County at 255 Svoboda Lane, Room 134 in La Grange or Bastrop County Extension office at 15 American Legion Drive, Bastrop by Nov. 7. Late registration and at the door will be $50 per person. LG Bluebonnet Lions Cheeseballs Sale

The La Grange Bluebonnet Lions Club will be selling their famous cheeseballs on Saturday, Nov. 15.
