Soup & Bake Sale

The Ellinger Chamber of Commerce will hold a chicken noodle soup lunch and bake sale drive thru on Sunday, Jan. 30 starting at 10:30 a.m. Bring a pot or glass container, no plastic. Cost is $8 a quart or $30 a gallon. Homemade chicken salad sandwiches and desserts will also be available. Reserve large orders by calling or texting (979) 966-8612.

Beyond Grief

A 6-week grief class about moving forward after the loss of a loved one is open to grieving adults. Call (979) 968-6913 to register for next series.

Support Group

Hospice Brazos Valley will host a Grief Support Group on the third Tuesday of each month from 10 a.m. to 1l:30 a.m. for anyone who is grieving the loss of a spouse. Hospice Brazos Valley is located at 1048 N. Jefferson in La Grange. For more information, contact Cindy Fanning at (979) 968-6913. You must RSVP so the groups can be small.

Feed The Need

Feed the Need, a non-profit organization whose mission is to feed people physically and spiritually, will provide free burgers every Monday at 6:30 p.m. in La Grange at 901 Mode Ln. Everyone is welcome. They move to the courthouse square beginning Jan. 31.

Alzheimer’s and Dementia Support

Hospice Brazos Valley will host a Alzheimer’s or Dementia Support Group and will meet on the second Tuesday of each month from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Hospice Brazos Valley is located at 1048 N. Loss of a Child Support Group

A support and education group for a parent or grandparent who is grieving the loss of a child at any age or any stage of the grieving process will be held the fourth Tuesday of each month from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Hospice Brazos Valley located at 1048 N. Parkinson’s Support Group For anyone struggling with the Parkinson’s disease movement

For anyone struggling with the Parkinson’s disease movement disorder, the group has reactivated in La Grange the third Thursday of every month for patients and caregivers. The meetings begin at 10 a.m. at the Randolph Recreation Center located at 653 E. Pearl Street. For more information, call (832) 561-1447.
