Turtle Wing
Turtle Wing Foundation has partnered with the Fayette County Community Theatre for their Interactive Workshop focusing on social skills and the life skill of public speaking and self advocacy. This is an interactive workshop to provide a fun environment for Turtle Wing families to gather and learn on Jan. 4 and Jan. 25 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Turtle Wing Participants will even have the option to show what they learned at the annual Toast on Jan. 27. Hermann Sons
The Hermann Sons Life Rutersville regular meeting night will be Wednesday, Jan. 5 at 7 p.m. at the Lodge Hall. The lodge will furnish soup and members are asked to bring a side or dessert.
LG Roadrunners
Square dance lessons will begin on Jan. 11 and also on Jan. 18 with a fun night to introduce you to square dancing. Basic lessons are set to begin on Jan. 25. Square dancing offers exercise for the body and also for the brain. The La Grange Roadrunners Square Dance Club meets on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Randolph Recreation Center on Pearl Street in La Grange.
Hostyn Noodles A Soup, Noodle and Bake
A Soup, Noodle and Bake Sale will be on Sunday, Jan. 16, 2022. Pick up at Queen of the Holy Rosary Parish Hall in Hostyn between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. or at Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Plum from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Quart of chicken noodle soup $6.50, ½ lb. bag of noodles (narrow or wide) $6.50, chicken salad sandwiches $2.00, chicken salad $4.00. Beyond Grief Series
Hospice Brazos Valley will start a Beyond Grief class on Jan. 13. A six-week grief class about moving forward. Open to adults grieving the loss of a loved one. For information call Cindy Fanning at (979) 968-6913.
Texas Heroes Museum
The Texas Heroes Museum will resume the current COVID schedule of every Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Jan. 8.
Beginner Cha Cha Classes
Beginner Cha Cha classes will be starting Tuesday, Jan. 25 at 5:45 unil 7 p.m. The cost is $5 per class/per person. Come enjoy the fun for a free open house introduction on Jan. 18. Hospice Brazos Valley will host a Grief Support Group on the third Tuesday of each month from 10 a.m. to 1l:30 a.m. for anyone who is grieving the loss of a spouse. Hospice Brazos Valley will host a Alzheimer’s or Dementia Support Group and will meet on the second Tuesday of each month from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Hospice Brazos Valley is located at 1048 N. Loss of a Child Support Group
A support and education group for a parent or grandparent who is grieving the loss of a child at any age or any stage of the grieving process will be held the fourth Tuesday of each month from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Hospice Brazos Valley located at 1048 N.
