Second Chance
The sales store will be open Thursday, Dec. 23 and Thursday, Dec. 30 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. each day. The sales store and the donations drop-off area will be closed on Friday, Dec. 24 and Saturday, Dec. 25 and Friday, Dec. 31 and Saturday, Jan. 1.
Garbage Schedule La Grange City offices will
La Grange City offices will be closed Dec. 23-24 in observance of Christmas. Waste Management will not have a holiday. Residential and commercial garbage service will be collected on normal days.
Christmas Services
Services are scheduled for Friday, Dec. 24 as listed: Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sublime at 5 p.m.; St. Peter Lutheran Church of Prairie Valley, West Point at 5 p.m.; Faith Lutheran Church, Weimar at 7 p.m.; and Zion Lutheran Church, Moulton at 7 p.m. Celebrate the gift of the Christ Child, God taking on flesh and blood and dwelling in our midst. Hear the good news of His birth, good news for all the world and receive Him in the Sacrament-bread and wine, the body and blood of Jesus our Savior. Come and be blessed by the fellowship of believers and sing songs of praise to the God of our salvation. All are welcome and no one is ever turned away. Texas Heroes Museum Holiday Hours
The Texas Heroes Museum will be closed for the holidays on Saturday, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. Please give a special thanks to active duty personnel who are currently deployed overseas. There is no time more depressing to be away from your family than Christmas.
Christmas Tree Recycling
The City of La Grange will have a drop off point for Christmas trees next to the dumpsters at 805 Mode Ln. for any residential customer starting Jan. 3 through Jan. 7, 2022. For anyone unable to drop their tree off, the City will pick up Christmas trees from residences according to the following schedule: Jan.10 Monday, South Side of the City (Travis St.-Hwy. 71 Bus.) Jan. 11 Tuesday, North Side of the City. Please remove all tinsel, lights, decorations, tree stands, nails, and plastic bags from the trees and place them at the curb. Trees should be set at curbside by your scheduled day. If you need additional information, please call (979) 968-3127.
Blood Drive at Historic Casino Hall
The Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center is kicking off 2022 with a blood drive at the Historic Casino Hall in La Grange on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All donors will receive a free “This is the Way” hoodie.
