VFW Meeting

The VFW No. 5254 will meet on Tuesday, Oct. 19 at 6 p.m. The Auxiliary is furnishing the meal.

RVOS Insurance

The annual meeting of the RVOS Insurance Lodge 24 PISEK, scheduled for Oct. 24 at 11 a.m. at the K J T hall in Fayetteville has been cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns.

Pavlas Family

The 71st Pavlas Family Reunion will be held on Sunday, Oct. 24, at The Pavlas Tavern in Moulton. The reunion will begin at 9:30 a.m. A catered meal with tea, coffee, sodas, and water will be provided. Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. Bring a dessert and items for the family auction. Please notify all relatives and bring any addresses, pictures, family documents, and information to share with each other. KJT Society Challenge Turkey Shoot

The KJT St. Augustine Society No. 129 in Schulenburg will hold its Annual Society Challenge Turkey Shoot on Sunday, Oct. 24 at Tofel’s Place in Ammannsville. The Turkey Shoot will start at 1 p.m. and will include open rounds available to the public. The Society Challenge will consist of 15 rounds for five-person shooting teams. Entry fee is $75 a team or $15 a person. One team member must be a KJT member. Each team member will shoot three rounds and points will be accumulated to determine the winning team and earn them bragging rights until next year’s Challenge. Proceeds to benefit Society No. 129 events and charities.

CDA No. 1962 Meeting

CDA Court Annunciation No. 1962 of La Grange will be meeting on Monday, Oct. 25 in the Msgr. Harry Mazurkiewcz Center in La Grange at 7 p.m. The CDA will be accepting donations for Gardenia Janssen Animal Shelter. Members are encouraged to attend and potential new members are always welcomed.

La Grange Garden Club Meeting

The La Grange Garden Club will meet at the Randolph Recreation Center located at 653 E. Pearl St. at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 28. This month’s program will feature Brandon Schielack, proprietor of the Redi Market & Venue located on the square in La Grange. Everyone is invited to attend and new members are always welcome. Schulenburg Class Reunion

The Schulenburg High School Class of 1960 will hold their 61st Reunion (delayed 60th) on Saturday, Oct. 30 at High Hill’s St. Mary’s Catholic Church Pavilion. The reunion will start at 11 a.m. with a pot luck lunch. Bring food and drinks for you and your guest(s), plus some extra to share. Reach out to contact your classmates regarding this event. Bluebonnet Lions Cheeseball

The La Grange Bluebonnet Lions club annual Cheeseball Sale is going on now. They will be available for pickup on Saturday, Nov. 6 at First United Methodist Church located at 1215 N. Von Minden St. in La Grange beginning at 10 a.m. The cost is $12 each.
