The Swiss Alp/Ammannsville/Dubina Farm Bureau will not have their usual third Tuesday monthly meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 21. Watch for notice for Oct. 19 meeting.
LG Juneteenth
The La Grange Juneteenth Committee will have their monthly meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 21 at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Randolph Recreation Center West Wing, 653 E. Pearl St. Everyone is welcome to attend.
VFW Meeting
La Grange VFW will meet Tuesday, Sept 21 at 6 p.m. Meal will be furnished by Koenig-Belvill Funeral Family.
LG Garden Club
The La Grange Garden Club will meet at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 23 at the Randolph Recreation Center, located at 653 E. Pearl Street. There will be a meet and greet session and light refreshments will be provided in accordance with the Randolph Center COVID-19 guidelines. Everyone is invited to attend, especially members, so bring a friend to meet the new officers and get a preview of plans for the coming year. Community Fitness Group

Hermann Sons Life Barbecue
Hermann Sons Life Rutersville is having a barbecue chicken and sauce drive-thru on Saturday, Sept. 25 at the Hermann Sons Hall located at 5830 State Hwy. 159 from 4:30-6 p.m. The cost $10 for whole chicken and sauce.
Relay For Life at Leopard Stadium
The 2021 Relay For Life of La Grange will be held at Leopard Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 25 beginning at 6 p.m. The Survivor/Caregiver lap will follow the opening ceremony. The Luminaria ceremony will take place at dusk in memory of cancer victims or in honor of cancer survivors. Luminaria bags can be purchased for $5 each from any Relay For Life team member or online at www.relayforlife.org/lagrangetx. Wendish Fest
The 33rd Annual Wendish Fest will be held Sunday, Sept. 26 at the Texas Wendish Heritage Museum and St. Paul Lutheran Churh picnic grounds in Serbin. The drive thru meal line opens at 9:30 a.m. Come enjoy the auction, sauerkraut making, noodle making, quilting and more exhibits and demonstrations. CDA No. 1962 Meeting
CDA Court Annunciation No. 1962 of La Grange will be meeting on Monday, Sept. 27 in the Msgr. Harry Mazurkiewcz Center in La Grange at 7 p.m. Guest speakers are Linda Oltmann and Mary Vasek with AMEN Food Pantry. Bring non-perishable items to donate to AMEN. Members are encouraged to attend and potential new members are always welcomed.
Square Dance/Round Dance Lessons
The La Grange Road Runner Square Dance Club is excited to be offering lessons for both Square Dancing and Round Dancing. The all American way to make new friends, get some exercise and enjoy a new skill. A free Dance Fun Night is scheduled for Sept. 28 starting with some Round Dance fun at 6:30 p.m. and Square Dance basics at 7 p.m. Classes begin Oct. 5 with Round Dance Classes from 6-7 p.m. and Square Dance Lessons 7-8 p.m. for a 12 week period. Regular club dance from 8-9 p.m. The Fun Night and lessons will be at the Randolph Rec Center located at 653 E. Pearl Street in La Grange for anyone 12-years-old and up. Kulhanek Family Reunion Cancelled
The 49th Celestine and Antonin Kulhanek family reunion has been cancelled again this year due to a rise in the numbers of the COVID-19 pandemic. The family regrets that this unfortunate decision was necessary, however, wants to ensure everyone’s safety. There will be a special intentions Mass for the living and deceased members of the family at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church located at 205 E. Bell St. in Fayetteville.
Hospice Volunteers Needed
The Hospice Brazos Valley office in La Grange, serving a fourcounty area including Lee, Fayette, Colorado and Austin, is in need of volunteers to help provide services for patients. Volunteers are the heart of Hospice Brazos Valley. You can help fulfill their mission of enhancing the quality of life of Central Texas residents through serving in a variety of ways. Many service opportunities exist to suit your unique skills and allow you to give as much time as you desire when it best suits your schedule. Bring joy and comfort as a volunteer by lending an ear, holding a hand, sharing a hobby, delivering fresh flowers, helping with promotional activities and fund raising events. Weekdays, evenings, and/or weekend opportunities are available. Specialized training is provided.
