Online Auction The Round Top-Carmine
The Round Top-Carmine ISD Education Foundation Top 10 Back to School Online Auction runs through Saturday, Aug. 28 ending at 9 p.m. Ten great baskets, plus a bonus stay at Goodnight Round Top, are featured. Heifer Sale
The annual Jr. Commercial Heifer Sale will be held at the Fayette County Fairgrounds on Saturday, Aug. 28 beginning at 1 p.m. About 150 head of quality bred heifers will be auctioned. Come out and support the youth of Fayette County and buy some nice replacement heifers. Mark Winter Evangelist Service
La Grange First United Methodist Church located at 1215 N. Von Minden will present Mark Winter, United Methodist Evangelist, on Sunday, Aug. 29 at 10 a.m. for a combined service. Mark will share the gospel through dramatic re-enactment of a real 1880 Circuit Rider Preacher. He will include some Fayette County history and the church’s history in his message. Those attending this service are invited to attend the Friendship Sunday potluck meal following the message.

Hermann Sons Life Meeting
Hermann Sons Life Rutersville’s monthly meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. The lodge will furnish fried fish and members are asked to bring a side dish or dessert.

Holy Cross Church Picnic
Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Warda will host their annual Picnic on Sunday, Sept. 5 at the church picnic grounds. Get barbecue pork by the pound and whole chickens from the pits starting at 9:30 a.m. Sides and desserts will be available from the Ladies Aid country store. Shared Lutheran Ministry Anniversary
The Shared Lutheran Ministry Churches of Fayette County is celebrating their 20th Anniversary Sunday Sept. 12 at the SPJST Hall in Fayetteville. Dinner is open to the public; tickets must be purchased by Friday, Sept. 10. Tickets are $12 for chicken fried pork and sides by Gary Goebel. Drive-through is 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Polka worship will be at 10 a.m. with the St. Paul Praise Band and sermon by Pastor Marcia Kifer. There will be a cake walk, auction and silent auction as well as a bouncy house for the kids. This will also be the farewell service for Pastor Marcia, who is retiring.
Pilot Club Program Begins Sept. 15
La Grange First United Methodist Church located at 1215 N. Von Minden is taking registrations for the Wednesday After School Program. The Pioneer Club starts Wednesday, Sept. 15 from 3:30 to 6:15 p.m. Yearly registration fee is $20. Space is limited to 25 students in grades 1-6. Fayetteville Schools Reunion
The annual Fayetteville High School and St. John’s School Reunion will be held on Sept. 18 at the Heh Remember When? Dancehall at 3031 FM 1291 in Fayetteville beginning at 3 p.m. with a social, meeting, dinner and music by DJ Aaron from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Barbecue sandwiches will be served and all graduates are asked to bring a dessert or appetizer. The bar will be open to purchase drinks. The class of 1970 and 1971 will be hosting this year’s reunion. All former graduates and teachers are invited to attend.
