Hermann Sons Life Rutersville No. 152 will meet on Wednesday, July 7 for their regular meeting at 7 p.m. The meal is pot luck and members are asked to bring a main dish and a side or dessert.
Reptile Program
Join the Fayette Public Library for an exciting Falconry and Reptile program on Wednesday, July 7 at 10:15 a.m. Haidyn Lierz, Roman White, and Aesha Remsburg work together to teach kids and adults about the sport of Falconry, the importance of various reptiles worldwide, and how they relate to reptiles found here in the wild. Summer Reading Programs are free and open to the public. This program will take place outside of the library in Heritage Park.
Story Hour
Join the Fayette Public Library on Thursday, July 8 at 10:15 a.m. at the library for a fun story hour with the Mini Horse Helpers. Mrs. Sally will be joining with her adorable miniature horses. Lots of fun and a great craft.
Democratic Party Meeting

St. James BBQ
The St. James Episcopal Men’s Club will hold a barbecue Saturday, July 10, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. or until sold out at 156 N. Monroe St. across from H-E-B. A half chicken will be $4 and sausage link $6. The meal is drive through only. This barbecue is for the benefit of Meals on Wheels.

Plum Hermann Sons Life members will meet for a get together meal at La Marina located at 1502 State Highway 71 on Monday, July 12 at 5 p.m. There will be no meeting for the month of July.
Farm Bureau Annual Dinner
The La Grange Farm Bureau is having their annual dinner on Tuesday, July 13 at the Fayette County Fairgrounds EH Kitchen. Social begins at 6 p.m. and meal at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the Fayette County Farm Bureau Office.
KJT Pork Steak Dinner
The Hostyn KJT Society No. 3 will hold their annual drive-thru fundraiser on Wednesday, July 14 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the La Grange KC Community Center. The pork steak dinner will include buttered noodles, vegetable blend, peach half and a roll for $12 a plate. A bake sale will also be held to benefit the Hostyn and Plum Youth Group, with matching funds provided by the KJT Home Office. Christmas In July At Casino Hall
Come on out to the Christmas in July Open House at the Historic Casino Hall. The Open House will take place on Thursday, July 15 from 4-6 p.m. Join for Christmas cupcakes, a visit from Santa, and children’s activities. The Historic Casino Hall is located at 254 N. Retired Teachers Meeting
The Fayette County Retired Teachers Association will meet on Monday, July 12 at the First United Methodist Fellowship Hall located at 1215 Von Minden in La Grange. Fellowship is at 1:30 p.m. and the meeting begins at 2 p.m. Officers will be installed for the 2021-2022 year. Come celebrate with us as we are meeting again in person. All retired public-school employees are encouraged to attend, even if retired from another city, county, or state. Movie Night on the Square will be held on the Fayette County Courthouse lawn on Friday, July 16. Enjoy live music, snacks, and kids activities. The movie is “Frozen II.” The fun begins at 7 p.m. Bring a blanket and lawn chairs. Parkinson’s Support Group
Parkinson’s Support Group
For anyone struggling with the Parkinson’s disease movement disorder, the group has reactivated in La Grange the third Thursday of every month for patients and caregivers.
