Food Bank Truck
The Central Texas Food Bank Truck will be at the Waldeck Lutheran Church located at the Junction of FM 1291 and FM 2145 on Monday, March 29 from 10 a.m. till 11 a.m. It will be drive-thru only and all clients are to remain in their vehicles. Someone will be there to direct traffic. Clients are advised to make room inside their car trunks and truck beds. Food boxes will be pre-packaged and placed into each vehicle by volunteers. Waldeck Mobile Food Truck distribution will continue using the drive-thru model. Health safety guidelines will be enforced with clients and volunteers wearing face masks, gloves, and social distancing.
Lions Scholarships
The La Grange Bluebonnet Lions Club is now taking applications for 2021 scholarships. Students eligible are: 2021 La Grange High School graduating seniors that will be attending a college or trade school, and former LGISD students currently enrolled in a college or trade school. Applications for graduating seniors are available online at lgisd.net. Current college/trade school students can find the application at La Grange Bluebonnet Lions Club e-clubhouse. Crusade For Christ
Come and worship Easter weekend April 2, 3 and 4 at the Fayette County Fairgrounds. Friday is youth night from 5-8 p.m., Saturday is come one, come all from 1-6 p.m., and the Easter service is Sunday at 9 a.m. For more information, visit www.revivechristianministries.org.
Bake Sale & Chili Dogs
St. John Lutheran Church in Ellinger is holding a drive-thru bake sale and chili dogs on Saturday, April 3 beginning at 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. A community Easter egg hunt begins at 11:30 a.m. for children 10 and under. Good Friday Garbage Schedule
La Grange City offices will be closed Friday, April 2 in observance of Good Friday. Waste Management will be working their normal garbage schedule. If you need additional information, call (979) 968-3127.
Shred Day
The La Grange Police Department will hold a shred day event on Saturday, April 24 at the police department at 243 S. College beginning at 9 a.m. until 12 noon. For more information, call (979) 968-5806.
