Preliminary Approval Made For a New LG Subdivision

The La Grange City Council approved a preliminary plat for the Thomas Estates Subdivision at a meeting Monday night, Aug. 23.

The subdivision is located on 5.125 acres between Northpoint Avenue and Greenspoint Avenue off the State Highway 71 Bypass on the north side of town.

The development will include 15 lots ranging in size from 0.2897 acres to 0.4673 acres. The lots will be dedicated for residential development.

City Manager Shawn Raborn said the City has plenty of sewer and water capacity to fulfill the needs of those lots. The development is located within the City Limits.

Property records show that Johnnie Thomas Sr. of Smithville purchased the land in October of last year.
