NVCC Selling Tickets For Mother’s Day Quilt Raffle

NVCC is moving the Crafty Corner program from the Gorman building back into the center at Wolters Park. This is a move to consolidate services under one roof, it is a cost-saving move as a result of COVID, and will give NVCC an opportunity to fill up a space and utilize it to its maximum.

This move will not affect our ability to deliver services and programs, in fact, it makes it better. Now, with all programs under one roof, programs will be more robust and varied, and we will be open more days of the week. There are times that the craft programs bring in a whole different group of people with different time schedules and different interests. The craft program will also now have the entire Center to spread out in, which will be great for the additional classes we can now have and for their project work.

With the new “Let’s Talk About Gardening” group forming that will meet on the last Tuesday of every month at 10 a.m., the Book Club starting back up next month, and the new “Paint Shed” painting program that will happen every Tuesday afternoon from 2-4 p.m., NVCC is excited about being open an additional day and are looking for ways to justify opening the Center on Thursdays.

The Mother’s Day Quilt Raffle is going on. You can get your raffle tickets by calling the Center at (979) 309-9592 and Cindy will see that you get them. They are $3 each or five for $10. The quilt will be on display in Fayette Savings Bank in Schulenburg the first week in April so go by and see it there.
