Non-Profit Networking Group to Discuss Partnerships With Financial Institutions

The Rural Non-Profit Networking Group (RNNG) is an opportunity for the organizations that do so much good in our rural communities to share their missions and visions, discuss community needs and partnership opportunities, bring in experts to facilitate growth and professionalism, and simply connect to maximize the efficiency and impact that participants can bring to Fayette, Colorado, Lavaca and surrounding counties.

Since reactivating post-pandemic shut-down, the group is more energized than ever, back to meeting monthly, and incorporating an educational aspect into each gathering.

This month the Columbus Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the RNNG gathering on Wednesday, Jan. 12. The gathering will be held at their downtown Columbus location (Stafford Opera House, Buddy Rau room/entry level) at 425 Spring St. beginning at 10 a.m. The discussion will delve into partnerships with financial institutions.

Alan Kuehn, VP of Industry State Bank, and Rachel Kozel, Industry State Bank marketing manager, will help facilitate the conversation. They will give an overview on how non-profits can partner with financial institutions; as well as how they choose which non-profits to donate too. This collaboration includes getting more visibility for both the bank and the nonprofit, leveraging donations into public relations and crosspromotion for both parties.

The Rural Non-Profit Networking Group invites all organizations interested participating to attend, as well as there will be a virtual option.

The Columbus Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization funded by annual investments of members to promote business and tourism as well as support civic projects in Columbus. A member-nominated Board of Directors and a dedicated team of staff work to support this mission. The Columbus Chamber advocates for policies that create an environment favorable to businesses and community growth and development. Membership in the Chamber is a must for any business owner wanting to maximize exposure in and around Columbus.
