New Paintings by Mary Quiros Debuting at Red & White Gallery
Mary Quiros has an exhibit of new work opening this Saturday, Oct. 23, from 3 to 6 p.m., at the Red & White Gallery in Fayetteville.
This will be the fourth onewoman show of Mary’s work at the gallery in the last nine years, and each one has proven that she continues to surprise as an artist. Comfortable moving from fanciful abstracts to impressionistic florals and landscapes, Mary’s new work is a delightful blend of colorful watercolors and vibrant, expressive acrylics on canvas.
One of the most collected artists in the area, her work is marked by her South Texas palette and her joyful images. Long a fixture in the annual Texas Watercolor Society Awards, Mary has gained the reputation as one of the state’s premier watercolor artists. This collection shows her mastery of the form, yet some of her most powerful images are her large-scale acrylics on canvas.
The public is invited to come and meet Mary, who will be in the gallery from 3 to 6 p.m. this Saturday, Oct. 23, or visit her new work at www.redandwhitegalleryonline.com.
