The Fayetteville Lions Club installed their new leadership for 2021 at the home of Linda Hudson and Mike Clann.
Recent Travels
Tara Murphy, 4th and 5th grade teacher at FISD, visited the Nashville, Tenn. area last week. One of the sites Tara and Dr. Hilary Davis (formerly of Fayetteville) toured was the Carnton Plantation, site of the Battle of Franklin. The house became a surgery ward for wounded soldiers and is home to a Confederate cemetery for soldiers killed in battle.

Arts for Rural Texas
This Saturday, July 10, ARTS is presenting an inside perspective to the creative process of artist Larry Schueckler who is sculpting the fabulous “Legends” mentioned in the Fayetteville news last week. Attendees will discover the unique process of how an artist gives life to originals. Only a few seats are available for the event that begins at 3 p.m. Call or email to reserve a seat. Andi’s Pie of the Month Club
Andi’s Pie of the Month Club was launched after an inspiring trip to a thrift shop outing. Andi Kasner, a single mom, was considering a more viable income source as her and her young daughter came across a massive stack of pie plates for sale. While she didn’t make the purchase, Andi began baking and selling pies to friends that kept asking for more. Andi’s Pie of the Month Club was launched this year featuring a homemade pie based mainly on seasonal ingredients. She’s received amazing reviews for her Coconut Cream pie, though her fave is Strawberry Rhubarb. Andi’s homemade 9” pies are $30 each and serve approximately eight people.
