Nesbitt Library to Host Writing Workshop
The Writers’ League of Texas’s Texas Writes program will be at the Nesbitt Memorial Library in Columbus on Saturday, Nov. 13. This event is free and open to the public and refreshments will be served.
Starting at 10 a.m., attendees will hear from author Jennifer duBois on tips for getting started with a writing project. Her talk is titled “Where to Begin?: Ideas, Outlines, and Getting Started.” Next, author Sindya Bhanoo will speak on the importance of documenting our own stories and the family stories passed down through the generations in her talk titled “The Stories We Must Tell.”
The presentations will be followed by a discussion with the authors, including a chance for attendees to ask questions. This event is for writers and readers alike and is a terrific opportunity to hear accomplished authors speak about the craft of writing and the writing life.

A statewide program offered by the Writers’ League of Texas (WLT) and supported by a generous grant from the Tocker Foundation, Texas Writes sends accomplished, published authors into libraries across the state for free presentations and discussions focused on the craft of writing.
