Muldoon Grandparents Welcome New Arrival

Great Granddaughter

Nancie and Billie Blair are proud to welcome their great granddaughter Cadence JeanneAnn who arrived on Feb. 3. She weighted seven pounds nine ounces and measured twenty and one quarter inches long. Her parents are Valarie Schick and the late Garrett Holiday. The proud great grandparents cannot wait to get to know this precious bundle of joy.

Proud Grandparents

Sheila and Allan Brunner are very proud grandparents. Their grandchildren have been very busy in the livestock show circuit. Recently at the Lulling 4H and FFA Stock Show grandson Landon Haynes did exceptionally well. Landon won grand champion and reserve champion breeding heifers, grand champion lamb, grand champion senior project, and grand champion steer. Meanwhile his sister, Bethany Haynes won senior showmanship in beef cattle and in lambs.

Meanwhile Wyatt Brunner showed his lamb in the Flatonia livestock show and Coltyn Needham showed two lambs in the Hallettsville livestock show. All were shown under Grandma Sheila’s watchful eye. All the grandkids seem to have inherited the ag gene and have done well raising their animals. They all have put in hours and hours working with their animals to get them prepared for the various shows they are participating in. Meanwhile Grandma Sheila is gearing up to support her grandkids and cheer them on with whatever animal they are showing.

Out and About

Ron and Pam Knotts took a day trip recently to Austin to do some shopping and also visit a young friend Andrea who lives and works in Austin. Andrea is pregnant with her first child and very excited to tell stories of all her new experiences. Ron and Pam check on her whenever they go to Austin and so far everything is going smoothly. The rest of the time in Austin was full of shopping and great Mexican food for lunch.

Devon Boehnke enjoyed having his daughter April Pospisil slip in from Wharton for a day visit. Also slipping in was son Jeremy Wells with his daughter Brianna from the Pflugerville area. They all spent time doing fence repairs.

Vaccinations

There have been a number of locals who have managed to make the list and are getting vaccinated against COVID-19. Some have gotten vaccinated in La Grange, Brenham, Victoria and even Wharton. These individuals have been vigilant watching for locations opening up and offering slots. Those who have gotten the shots have all said the locations have all been very efficient and all those working the sites have been very nice and pleasant to work with.

Meanwhile there are still those in the area who have contracted the virus and are working to get well. Some have minor discomforts, loss of taste and smell, while others have more serious issues that arise from the virus. Take care and mask up while out and about.

Update

For those who have been asking about Bobby Ivy, he is home and recovering from a broken femur. He is getting around on crutches and is not allowed any weight bearing on that leg.
