Mortgage Assistance Available

Board Chairperson Aminta Q. Silva has announced that Tri-County Community Corporation, a Texas-based non-profit corporation, has received a $500,000 grant from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) under its Texas Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program (TEMAP) provides mortgage assistance to income-eligible households residing in the counties of Mason, Llano, San Saba, Mills, Hamilton, Bosque, Hill, McLennan, Limestone, Firestone, Leon, Robertson, Milam, Madison, Brazos, Burleson, Lee, Grimes, Washington, and Fayette.

The program is designed to assist families who have been impacted by COVID-19. The TCCC Board Chairperson said that this assistance will help residents ensure housing stability during the pandemic. The program can pay up to six consecutive months of all or part an eligible household’s mortgage payments, including mortgage arrears, with at least one of those months covering a future monthly mortgage payment.
