Moreau Running for Re-Election as JP in Precinct 2
Greetings, Fayette County. What a pleasure it has been to serve the last three years as your Justice of the Peace (JP), Pct. 2. I, Jaime Moreau, would like to announce my candidacy for re-election on the March 2026 Primary ballot. As JP, I have had the privilege to learn and grow and face challenges alongside the hard working people of Fayette County. It would be an honor to continue in this capacity.
The varied responsibilities of the JP office are exactly what my skill set mirrors. My professional experience working in the Emergency Room at Texas Children’s Hospital, among other past roles and my Master’s Degree in Psychology have soundly prepared me for the unpredictability of being JP.
The last three years have been filled with success stories of defendants who have found a path to close out their cases, of citizens who have been able to reach agreements, of families who have received care following the death of a loved one, and of happy couples celebrating their commitment to one another in marriage, just to name a few. Alongside those positive examples are also examples of individuals being evicted, losing their cases, suffering from mental illness, poverty, lack of support and other major life challenges. It is all of these instances that motivate me to problem-solve solutions for those coming before me each day. I work extremely hard as your JP to be well-trained and well-connected to meet needs. I am driven to learn best practices and to implement them for this county.
As your JP, I prioritize being available and transparent. I spend long hours in the office and am reachable by dispatch at any time day or night. I value partnerships and have strong working relationships throughout the county.
The office of Justice of the Peace, Pct 2 requires aroundthe- clock dedication and I believe I bring that directly to you, the constituents. It is my deep desire to continue in this office in the same manner in which it was left to me: capable and respected. I humbly ask for your vote in March and again in November of 2026.
