Moerbe Honored for 33 Years of Service to the City of La Grange

La Grange City Staff held a retirement party for outgoing Mayor Janet Moerbe, who has served the City for 33 years, first as a city councilwoman and the last 20 years as Mayor. The celebration took place Friday afternoon on the grounds of the La Grange Public Library. City employees and officials from other local governments stopped by to congratulate Moerbe on her retirement. She presided over one more City Council meeting on Monday, May 10. Jan Dockery, the newly elected mayor, will take the oath of office at the May 24 meeting. Photos by Andy Behlen
