May is Elder Abuse Prevention Awareness Month

Fayette County Judge Joe Weber the County Commissioners signed a proclamation last Thursday, May 13, designating May as Elder Abuse Prevention Awareness Month in Fayette County. The proclamation stated that in-home caseworkers with Texas Adult Protective Services (APS) investigated 42 cases of elder abuse, neglect or exploitation in Fayette County last year. On hand for the signing were Jennifer Alvarado and Sharon Bloom with Texas APS.
