Martin Luther Lutheran Church to Host Blood Drive Sunday
A blood drive will be held at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Carmine on Sunday, Nov. 21 from 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. You can make an appointment by logging into your established digital donor account, or by going to khardin@giveblood.org to schedule a time. There continues to be an exceptional need for both whole blood and plasma, so please consider giving the gift of life.
RT-C School News
Round Top-Carmine High School volleyball team defeated Nordheim in three sets Monday, Nov. 8 in regional quarterfinals at Flatonia and played at the regional tournament Friday, Nov. 12 at Brenham High School. They beat Prairie Lea on Nov. 4 at Flatonia to win the area round of the playoffs.
Thanksgiving holidays will be Nov. 22-26.
Carmine Lions Food Drive
Carmine Lions Club is having a food drive to benefit the AMEN Food Pantry in La Grange. A collection box has been placed at the Carmine State Bank.
All donations received will be delivered weekly during the month of November.
RT-C Young Farmers
The Round Top Carmine Young Farmers meeting will be Thursday, Nov. 18 at 6 p.m. at the Round Top Hall. Bruce Ford will have a program on honey bees. BBQ burgers will be available.
Carmine VFD
Carmine Volunteer Fire Department Drill Night will probably be changed due to Thanksgiving.

Lutheran World Relief Donation
A total of 25 boxes from Martin Luther Lutheran Church were taken to Zion Lutheran Church for the Lutheran World Relief Shipment on Nov. 6. Included were 105 Mission Quilts, 30 School Kits, 86 Personal Care Kits, and 10 Baby Care Kits. Jason Schroeder and Tim Sanders made the delivery to Zionsville.
Carmine 42 Club
The Carmine 42 Club met Wednesday, Nov. 3 to play eight intriguing games of 42 after eating a delicious burger from the Village Market and homemade desserts.
High scoring partners were Donna Mueller and LaVerne Albers with a score of 1739 and played two hands of 84. The second-place partners were Linda Mattocks and Edith Flinn with a score of 1669. Additional partners were Carol Naegeli and Jeanette Schoenst who played two hands of 84 and one hand of 126. Also playing were Myrt Meinkowsky and Marlene Waak who played one hand of 84.
All players enjoyed the exciting games and their challenges. These domino players look forward to the next game day in December that will be a Christmas Party for this group on the first Wednesday at the Waak home.
Ledbetter Lane of Lights
Ledbetter Christmas Lane of Lights begins the day after Thanksgiving. It will be held every Friday and Saturday until Dec. 18 from 6-9 p.m. Enjoy a hayride through a lighted path of Christmas reflections.
Tickets are $10 per person and children two years and under are free. Live musical entertainment and Santa will be there each night. Location is FM 1291 at Highway 290.

MLLC Christmas Program
The MLLC Sunday School Christmas Program will be presented on Sunday, Dec. 12 during the regular worship service at 10 a.m. Practice begins on Nov. 14 at 8:30 a.m.
Men in Mission
The Men in Mission group of Martin Luther Lutheran Church will collect items for Seafarer’s at the Port of Houston.
Items may be brought to the church office until Nov. 29, when they will be packed at 1 p.m.
Items include address books, fabric band-aids, baseball caps, 2022 calendars, comb, dental floss, antiperspirant/deodorant, disposable razors, flashlight and batteries, small packs Kleenex, lip balm, lotion, nail clippers, small Gold Bond cream, small Gold Bond powder, individual servings of hot chocolate, needles and thread, Q-tips, shaving cream, soap, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, gum and hard candy, key chains, pocket-sized notebooks, mechanical pencils, pens, playing cards, individual microwave popcorn packages, socks, Sudoku books, Texas souvenirs, T-shirts, SUB flash drives, and Word Search books.
Keep in mind that most of the seafarers are men.

Saturday worship with Holy Communion is at 6 p.m.
Sunday School Christmas program practice is Sunday at 8:30 a.m.
Sunday worship with Holy Communion observing Christ the King Sunday is at 10 a.m. The service will also be on the mllccarmine.com website. The Rev. David Tinker is the pastor.
The Blood Drive is in the Fellowship Hall from 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m.
Recycling Trailer
The recycling trailer is at the Carmine Hall on Thursdays from noon until 4 p.m.
The trailer is in Ledbetter from 8:30-11 a.m., also on Thursdays, behind the Ledbetter Fireman’s Hall.
Visitors’ Center
Carmine Chamber of Commerce Visitors’ Center at the restored Train Depot is open on the second and fourth Fridays and Saturdays of the month from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
