Man Dies Here in Interstate-10 Rollover

A California man died on Interstate 10 Saturday six miles west of Flatonia about 1 a.m. in the morning when a truck towing a RV swerved into the median, overcorrected and flipped.

According to the Department of Public Safety report of the accident, Ronald Lemons, 78, was a passenger in the truck being driven by Jonathan Rangel, 18. They were both from Visalia, California.

Rangel was injured and was taken to the Columbus hospital where he was in stable condition.

Lemons was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by Justice of the Peace Charles Zapalac and taken to Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange.
