Make Plans Now for New Year’s Eve

Lots of folks are making plans for New Year’s Eve next Friday. Here are a few special events taking place around the area.

The Round Top Rifle Hall will hold a New Year’s Eve Dance featuring live music by The Lost Cause Band. Doors open at 6 p.m. with music and dancing from 8:30 p.m. to midnight. Bring goodies for the community snack bar with complimentary sliced ham and turkey provided. Cornbread and black eyed peas served at midnight. Tickets $20 available at Round Top Mercantile or Round Top State Bank.

JayDee’z Sports Grill in La Grange will hold a New Year’s Eve Party with music by DJ PM from 8 p.m. to midnight. A select menu will be available along with a champagne toast at midnight. Call (832) 594-3775 for more information.

The Crown Bar in La Grange will hold a “Countdown to 2022” New Year’s Eve Part starting at 5 p.m. The event is free with limited pre-sale tickets for $20 that guarantee exclusive access including a taco bar and a glass of champagne for toasting the new year. Cistern Country Store will host a New Year’s Eve Party with live music by Midnight Wranglers from 8 p.m. to midnight. No cover charge. The kitchen will be open. Call (361) 865- 3655 for more information.

The 159 Junction near Fayetteville will hold a New Year’s Eve Party featuring live music by Luke Garrison & The Fallback Plan, fireworks and a laser light show. A complimentary champagne toast will take place at 11:50 p.m.

The Stone Cellar in Round Top will host a New Year’s Eve dinner and dance with live music by Black Cat Choir. General admission is $50. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. with dinner served from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Live music starts at 8 p.m. Call (281) 851- 6779 for more information.
