Lots of Dirt Moving in Schulenburg As Two Construction Projects Start
Groundwork recently started on a pair of big construction projects in Schulenburg.
Developers of the Texan Convenience Store at the southwest corner of US 77 and Interstate 10 and the Ace Hardware Store at 210 Heinrich Avenue behind the Best Western both filed development permits with the City.
According to those permits, the developer of the Texan Store is Brian Dlugosch of the York-town-based company Dlugosch 3 LLC. The developer valued the project at $1.1 million. The building would occupy 11,635 square feet.
The engineer for the Texan project is Danysh & Associates and the architect is Charles Pope & Associates. A general contractor has not yet been selected.
The developer of the Ace Hardware Store is S.A. Panjwani of the Brookshire-based company Swiss Alp Investments LLC. The Ace Hardware Store project is valued at $800,000. The building would occupy 19,800 square feet.
The engineer for the Ace Hardware project is Wilson Engineering Co. and the general contractor is JAP Construction Co.
