Local Presides as the Chairman of The Texas Manufactured Housing Association Convention
The Texas Manufactured Housing Association, which advocates for the rights to build, buy and live in factory built homes, recently held their 72nd annual convention in Fort Worth from October 12-14. This year’s chairman and a native Fayette County resident, Gary Adamek, presided over the three day event.
At this event, all things related to the current and future housing situations for Texans were discussed, including new technology for energy efficiency, and solutions to the Affordability Index of Housing in Texas. Special guest speakers included The Texas A&M Real Estate Research Center economists, who showed the ever growing divide between income and housing costs. Two state representatives also spoke on the vital role manufactured housing provides to the hard working Texans struggling to reach the goal of home ownership. The Texas manufactured housing industry also generates $3.5 billion annual revenue for the state of Texas by promoting a stable business environment.
