Local Man Killed After Altercation in San Marcos
Emmett Worsham, 24 of La Grange, died on Dec. 19 after spending five days in a coma following a physical altercation with a bar bouncer in San Marcos on Dec. 12. According to KXAN News, Worsham was trying to get into the Red Room Lounge in San Marcos when a bouncer denied him entry. The bouncer, Milton Heyliger, allegedly struck Worsham and knocked him unconscious. Heyliger was initially charged with aggravated assault. He posted bail and was released on Dec. 17. Heyliger was subsequently charged with manslaughter after Worsham succumbed to his injuries. Heyliger was arrested on Wednesday, Dec. 22.
