Local Business Owner Arrested on Trademark Charges
A special agent with the Texas Department of Public Safety arrested Fayetteville business owner Kimberly Naumann on June 16 for a felony charge of trademark counterfeiting.
The arrest took place at the Dallas Market Center, a wholesale trade center in Dallas that caters to buyers and sellers in fashion and other industries. Among other businesses, Naumann owns Bling-a-GoGo, which offers custom fashion products such as shirts, koozies and caps.

A heavily-redacted, sixpage investigation report from DPS accuses Naumann of selling trademarked counterfeit merchandise valued between $2,500 and $30,000. The Record filed a public information request to obtain the full report.
Naumann said the following in a statement to the Record on Tuesday, July 13:
“Thank you so much for your interest in me and the stories surrounding our company. We have been in business for almost 17 years now. I started this company on my kitchen table right here in La Grange as a single mother of three small children. While we started very small with dedication, a strong ability to never give up and a team of employees that is more like family we have turned into a multimillion-dollar company employing off and on almost 50 Fayette County residents.
“Our families’ different brands can be seen in boutiques, travel centers, amusement parks and major big box stores all over the US. You can also find us in several huge wholesale markets stretching from east to west. Fall of 2021 we will be opening our La Grange location available to all types of walk-in services which will include very competitive pricing. We have worked very hard to build our reputation through our brands, customer service and superior products. Our story is a true testament that if you don’t ever give up on your dreams and continue to work hard, success is achievable.”
DPS Special Agent James Farrelly investigated the case and made the arrest. Dallas County court records show that Naumann was released from jail the morning following the arrest after posting a $1,500 cash bond.
