Local Author Releases New Novel for Harlequin
Readers of fiction can enjoy local author Audrey Wick’s latest novel, releasing Nov. 25. Wick is a Fayette County native and serves as full-time professor of English at Blinn College—Schulenburg campus.
“A Home for the Ranger” is a Texas state park-set love story between a park ranger and a local patron who frequents the trails. This sweet novel also includes a couple of adorable twin girls and plenty of outdoor descriptions that armchair travelers will love.
The book is being released by Harlequin, the largest romance publisher in the world. This is Wick’s first book with their Love Inspired line, which features uplifting stories of faith, forgiveness, and hope. The book is available in mass market paperback, large print, digital, and even a box set with two other Love Inspired authors for the month of December.
Wick has written half a dozen women’s fiction and romance novels, both in series and stand-alone styles. In addition, Wick has authored short stories, non-fiction essays, and is the co-author of the forthcoming Steps to Writing Well (12th edition), a college textbook published by Cengage.
Locally, autographed copies of A Home for the Ranger are available at The Fayette County Record office. Copies will also be in the La Grange Wal-Mart for its release on Nov. 25, 2025, and all U.S. Wal-Mart stores will carry the book for one month, along with select grocery stores, bookstores, and Barnes & Noble locations. It can be purchased digitally or in hard copy via online retailers such as Amazon, Books-A-Million, Kobo, Apple, Target, and others, including Harlequin.com. Internationally, the book is being distributed by Harper-Collins through Mills & Boon Australia.
“With the popularity of outdoor stories and readers’ interest in novels that end in a happily-ever-after, I’m especially excited to share this latest book. I’ve found a wonderful publishing home with Harlequin,” says Wick. For more information about Wick, readers can visit audreywick. com.
