Livestock Brand Renewal Notice From County Clerk

Brenda Fietsam, Fayette County Clerk, has the following announcement regarding renewals of Registered Marks and Brands for livestock in Fayette County:

In accordance with article 144.04 of the Agriculture Code, all marks, brands, and tattoos for livestock currently registered with the county clerk will expire after August 30, 2021.

The Fayette County Clerk’s Office will begin the renewal process on all marks, brands and tattoos for livestock filed in Fayette County starting Aug. 31, 2021 through Feb. 28, 2022. Owners have six months to renew their marks, brands and tattoos. Those not renewed by Feb. 28, 2022 will become available to the general public as of Mar. 1, 2022.

If your livestock is registered in another county in the State of Texas, it will be necessary for you to contact the County Clerk’s Office of that county to renew your brand registration.

Again, renewals do not start until Tuesday, Aug. 31 and owners have 6 months, until Feb. 28, 2022, to renew their marks and brands.

These renewals will be effective until Aug. 30, 2032.
